Take a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible collaboration between Marbled LA and the innovative Hermès Parade company. Learn how we delivered a delectable feast of 2,200 diverse meals over 6 days, to support the company’s creative exhibition, showcasing its exquisite home collection.
The Event
Known for their incredible creativity, commitment to quality, and artistic flair, Hermès Parade took a unique approach to promoting its new home collection, with an interactive theater exhibition at Barker Hanger, Santa Monica, in California.
Hosting live dancers, performers, and celebrity guests, the unique show highlighted the group’s impressive collection of more than 400 pieces of furniture, textiles, kitchenware, and tableware like never before. Running over a period of 6 days, the show literally unboxes Hermès’ new collection, reminding us that moving home (though stressful) can be a joyful experience.
The Details
Catering the event was no small task, with countless artists, production managers and celebrities to feed. Hermès asked Marbled LA to help with:
- Cooking and serving over 2,200 meals: We produced a wide selection of meals for the entire crew over a period of 6 days, keeping everyone performance ready.
- Buffet style experiences: Hermès wanted to give its crew the freedom to choose their own meals, with a buffet-style experience, managed by the Marbled LA team.
- All-day craft tables: Rehearsals, preparation, and dancing all work up an appetite. We were asked to provide an all-day craft table, filled with snacks, beverages, and treats.
- Lunch and dinner: Hermès wanted to provide everyone with two meals a day (as well as snacks), and an impressive overall experience. Our attention to detail didn’t go to waste.
Off-site cooking: Since the venue didn’t have its own kitchen and preparation areas, we needed to handle all of the cooking off-site and deliver meals ready-to-eat to the location.

A Peek at the Menu
Hermès allowed Marbled LA to really showcase our creativity with this project. They approached us with a few basic guidelines, prioritizing diversity, and inclusive meals. The team needed to ensure vegan and gluten-free meals were provided, and we were happy to accommodate.
We worked with the stakeholders for the event to create the ultimate custom menu, brimming with different delectable delights to suit any palette. Some of the menu options included:
- Asian Cuisine: Thai sizzle black pepper chicken (with a tofu version for vegans), Bok choy, mustard marinated steak, and blackened chicken.
- Vegan Delights: Vegan and gluten-free blackened pork Bello, southwest quinoa, grilled vegetables, and tofu options.
- Mexican and Peruvian Favorites: Customizable taco bowls, Aji Amarillo chicken, and Steak Lomo Saltado.
- Show Day Sensations: Cajun shrimp (and tofu) jambalaya, chicken breasts with artichoke white bean, and white wine sauce, polenta cakes with portobello mushroom ragu.

The Win
We worked closely with the Hermès team to ensure the experiential launch event would be a week to remember, both for the attendees, and the performance crew. Throughout the day, the crew had craft service tables and various food stations including breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner -and more! The production team was thrilled with both the quality and diversity of the meals, as well as our commitment to helping ensure the experience ran smoothly for everyone involved.
The team noted that they were impressed by our ability to adapt to their needs, prepare food off-site, and still make sure everyone was fed throughout the day, and on time. Plus, they loved the support of our friendly and professional staff.
